EMBELLISHMENTS IN THREAD

Digital Printing

Digital printing is different than screen printing or most other forms of designs in that it allows us to capture near photographic quality images onto garments and hard substrates.  Its only limitation is that it must be on a white, or light color.  This is because an inkjet printer(even the industrial ones we use) does not print a white ink.  The white is required to make the colors pop and come alive.  We have not found this to be a detriment since a black shirt in the sun will be about 65 degrees hotter than a white one.  Comfort is what we are all about.

Secondly, there are two processes that fall under the umbrella of digital printing.  One is for cotton and one is for polyester fabrics.  We use a system called Chromoblast for 100% cottons.  This is the newest technology and gives the brightest picture and softest feel of any transfer.  The second is called sublimation.  This process injects the ink into the fibers at high temperature and pressure and the design becomes a part of the garment instead of just sitting on top of it.  Sublimation is also what we use to print cups, mousepads, ceramic tiles, jigsaw puzzles, and hundreds of other items.  Once sublimated , the designs are microwave and dishwasher safe.  The t-shirts we use for this process were developed specifically for sublimation and are very high end.  They are 100% polyester on the outside , with 100% ringspun cotton on the inside.  They are the most comfortable t-shirt you will every wear and the prints are of the highest quality available anywhere.
