Digitizing is the process of converting a design, logo, picture, or idea into a stitch pattern that our computerized embroidery machines can recognize and sew out with consistent precision. There are two types of software that allow for digitizing. The first is auto-digitizing software which takes a properly prepared vector format and assigns stitches that the computer thinks should go there. Obviously this leaves much to be desired and the digitizer loses much control during this process. The second, and the one that we use, is to manually redraw every piece in a design so we can assign the proper density, stitch direction, fill, color, overlap, etc. Obviously this takes more time, but it gives a much better design and allows for correction of the design during the process. We can digitize anything from simple logos to complex portraits. Prices will vary on how complex the design is and the time required.
